Hi everyone, it’s Lisa here again.  I’m stopping by to share some of The Ton’s colorful Fresh Cut Anemones with you today.   I love Anemones because they come in so many fun, cheerful colors.  I think they are the perfect flowers to put on a card if you want to brighten up someones day.

For my card today I started out stamping and diecutting five Fresh Cut Anemone blooms and four leaf clusters using The Ton inks  in the following color combinations:

• Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink, Pink Derby
• Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Beach Blondie, Amber Citrine
• Cali Blue, Cobalt Breeze, Parisian Blue
• Soft Garden, Deep Emerald, Bright Fern
• Noir (for the stamen centers)

(The little purple flower on the right was a surprise color.  I intended to stamp it pink but there was some blue ink left on my stamp, surprise!)

Then I thought….wait….lets spread some cheer to the inside of this card too!  So I stamped  and diecut two more flowers.  To avoid adding too much bulk to the inside, I stamped the leaf clusters directly onto the folded card base and glued the two diecut flowers in place.

To prepare the card front I blended a soft background for the flowers using The Ton’s Soft Garden and Blue Diamond inks.  I stamped the sentiment from The Ton’s Thoughtful Poppies stamp set using Noir dye ink.  I also added a little water to some Noir ink and flicked it  with a paintbrush over the entire card front.  Then I trimmed the edges and glued it to the center of the folded card base.  This left a clean white border all around the edge of the card.

The flowers were added to the front of the card by first arranging them how I wanted them to look and then gluing all of the flowers and leaves together to form one piece.  Then I popped the whole arrangement up on the card front using dimensional tape.

For some sparkle I added my favorite couture sequin mix from The Ton store; Glass Slippers!
