I started off by rose gold heat embossing our Rose Close Up cling stamp onto an A2 watercolor panel (Canson XL 140lb watercolor paper). Next I watercolored the large rose using the wet on wet technique. For my paints, I used Peony Color Bursts on the petals and turquoise on the edge to give it a glow. After I finished painting, I set the panel aside to dry. Once it was completely dried, I die cut the Brushed Hugs onto the panel. I also die cut the Brushed Hugs on a separate piece of black cardstock.
I adhered the watercolored panel (minus the hugs die cut) onto a side folding A2 base first. Then I adhered the black die cut in the negative space. I made sure to include all the bits as well. Next I adhered the watercolored hugs but I made sure to offset it just a bit so that the black would peek through. Lastly I added some Clear Rhinestones to add a bit of dimension.
