Star Trails for Him and Her

Welcome back to The Ton Stamps blog, The Season. Janette here with you today to share Star Trails for Him and Her. This stamp set is gender neutral, so it is perfect for those hard to come by masculine cards.

Up first, the ladies, of course! I’ve used only the second layer from the Christmas Tree layered stamp set, colored it with Tombow Dual Brush markers, and stamped it 3x.

Holiday Ballet Ballerina is stamped in Caviar Hybrid Ink, embossed clear and also colored with the Tombows.  She also has a touch of Wink of Stella, because all ballerinas are sparkly, right?! Find the dies here.

Two layers of Star Trails have been stamped, again using the Tombows. I love to have multicolored images by coloring directly onto the stamp in select areas with one color, stamping, and then repeating with other colors. I’ve used oranges and yellows. I popped the panel and ballerina with dimensional adhesive to an A2 folded card base. A few Gift w/Purchase Sugar Cookie sequins for delicate ornaments.

For a masculine use of Star Trails, I created a galaxy using Distress Oxide inks. Once completely dry I coated the panel with Distress Glaze. The glaze adds depth and takes away the chalky look that Distress Oxides can have. I die cut a circle in the panel and in Silver Glitter paper using the Large and Small Double Stitched Circle dies.

I went a little crazy, going for a Milky Way effect, with the Star Trails. I heat embossed in Black Sparkle and Silver Pearl embossing powders. I also used one of the individual stars in the set and added white stars. On top of that, I added New Year and Frosted Spearmint sequins. The large star was also stamped in white and then coated with Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard.

To complete the card I added the infamous Roosevelt quote, and a few more stars from the New Year sequin mix. The sentiment is broad enough to cover any interior sentiment from birthday, thank you and congrats to best wishes and more. I popped the panel with dimensional adhesive to an A2 folded card base.
