Hi everyone, Lisa here! I’m back to close out the month of August with you. The summer months just flew by didn’t they? For my cards today I thought I’d put a couple of The Ton’s mini stamps sets to work. These 2 x 3″ sets are only $5.00 in The Ton shop so they are a great, inexpensive addition to anyone’s stamp collection. First up is the sweet Anemone Cluster Mini Set.
These little flowers can really take center stage when using bright colors. I stamped them on Bristol watercolor cardstock with The Ton’s Caviar ink. As you can see, I stamped this image twice to make a larger bouquet of six flowers instead of three. I watercolored them using Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush markers. Then I added this colored piece to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ card base that I stamped with The Ton’s Minor Stripes Cling Background stamp. For the sentiment I used the Basic Banners stamp and die set, popping it up a little with dimensional tape. I topped this card off with a few clear sequins from the Glass Slippers Mix.
I decided to use this same design to make a whole set of cards to give as a gift to my friend. Using the same colors I thought I would just change the combination to make each card a little different. I stamped different colored stripes using The Ton inks: Orchid Crush, Soft Amethyst and Crystal Pewter.
These card sets make the perfect thank you gift or hostess gift. I box mine up in a clear folding box along with some envelopes.
For my next card creation I used The Ton’s: Floral Banner Mini. This stamp and die set is great for adding a cute little sentiment and gives you seven to choose from.
I stamped this little Floral Banner Mini with Copic friendly Caviar ink then colored the flowers in with Copic markers. I shaded the banner with some Copic grays.
I also stamped and die cut The Ton’s Beautiful Day Bicycle using Bright Emerald ink. On the 4.25″ x 4.25″ card base I stamped the Polka Dot Cling Background stamp with Rose Quartz ink. The card front is stamped with the Minor Stripes Cling Background and Noir ink. Before gluing the striped card front onto the base I cut a little window using the Modern Labels Dies. To ground the bicycle I used a strip of The Ton’s Silver Glitter Adhesive Paper, then popped up the bicycle and mini banner with dimensional tape.
By the way…….Today is the last day to get your entries in for The Ton’s August Challenge. Check back here tomorrow for a new September challenge too! The Ton’s Challenge is a fun way to showcase your card creations and also gives you a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to spend at The Ton Shop.
