Hi everyone! I’m back with another card and video created with our Sunflower Border stamp.
I started off by heat embossing the border stamp with gold embossing powder. Then I watercolored the sunflowers using a blend of yellow and orange watercolor paints. After For the sunflower centers, I used a mixture of some black, light and dark brown paints and then a nice bright green for the leaves and stems.
Once the panel was dried, I cut out the negative portion of the the border with the coordinating die and painted cool wash of blues and turquoise right onto the negative die cut. Next I dried it completely with my heat tool and splattered some clean water onto it. Then I dabbed up the droplets to create some texture. I dried the negative die cut some more with my heat gun and then heat embossed my sentiment using the same gold embossing powder as my border.
Next I adhered the negative die cut onto a top folding A2 horizontal card base and popped up the border to complete my card.
I hope you enjoyed today’s quick card! It’s a perfect summer themed card for our Challenge Blog this month. Have a lovely day!
