Purple and Blue

Hello and happy Thursday, everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!  It’s TaeEun here today! I’m sharing a mermaid card decorated with some of our mini floral stamp sets. And I chose purple and blue as my main colors for today’s card.

I used Floral Banner Mini, Anemone Cluster Mini and Pragmatic Wreaths  for my card along with our newest stamp set Mermaid Vibes.

Let’s take a look at my card 🙂 !

To start off I heat embossed the Anemone Cluster Mini two times on the bottom part of my watercolor panel in Rose Gold. I masked them and heat embossed the mermaid on the center of the panel in Rose Gold as well. I then masked the mermaid to stamp the wreath from Pragmatic Wreaths in embossing ink. I heat embossed the wreath using Verdigris embossing powder and stamped the flowers in blue and purple using some Aquamarkers. I covered the upper area of the panel with a print paper while I was stamping the wreath. I like that the wreath looks like a swing :).

I heat embossed one more Anemone Cluster Mini and Floral Banner Mini on some extra watercolor paper in Rose Gold. After all the stamping and heat embossing were done, I started coloring the images using Zig Brush markers. I didn’t go into the details while I was coloring and colored the images in a loose style. To blend the colors I used clear glitter pen, so it is very shimmery in real life. I stamped the sentiment on the Floral Banner Mini in Noir and die cut the banner using coordinating die. I die cut the extra Anemone Cluster Mini as well with its coordinating die.

I then started assembling my card. I narrowed down the front panel slightly and added thin strips of purple glitter tape on both sides, before I foam mounted it on a purple cardbase. I foam mounted the die cut Anemone Cluster Mini and the Floral Banner Mini onto the places. To finish off I added some mini clear sequins from Violet Sprinkle Couture Mix to the wreath.

    This is beautiful TaeEun and a lot of patience is needed for all the masking and placing of the various elements of this card. I love the colour combination and the strips of purple glitter down the sides add depth to the scene and more depth too with the added layers on the banner and some of the anemones in the foreeground. x
