Hi peeps. How’s it going? Vera here. Today, I have a purple beauty to share with you all.
For my card today I play with the gorgeous Poppy Border Cling Background set and Poppy Border Coordinating Dies to make this fun shaker card.
I start by stamping and heat embossed the image on a piece of watercolor cardstock. I then colored them with Kuretake Zig marker. I mix blue and purple to create the color gradient on the flower. I love combining color like this to create depth to the flower.
Did the same thing with the leaves, combining green and teal. Then I added some soft blue all around. Once that done, I work on the shaker part. Added a piece of acetate and then the fun part… mixing sequins and beads! 🙂
To match the color theme, I start with Violet Sprinkle Couture Mix and then added a bit of Periwinkle Pearl Seed Beads and Light Rose Pearl Seed Beads to make it more fun. The more the merrier, right?
Next, time to work on the sentiment. I stamped the banner from Banners Basic set and die cut it with Banners Basic coordinating die. Add the sentiment and adhere the banner to the card. Voila… I’m done.  Whoops… , not quite. Last but not least, add some shimmer to all  the flowers. Gotta have shimmers.
On the above pic, you could see the spec of glimmers on the flowers. I love, love, love pretty shimmer on my card.
Well peeps, what do you think? I know, poppies supposed to be red or orangey, but hey, card making is jut like art, right, you could make it any way you want. Use whatever color that makes you happy. I hope you enjoy today’s inspiration and psst… don’t forget to join the current mood board challenge on The Ton Challenge Blog.
That’s all from me today. Thank you for stopping by here. Cheers….
gorgeous!!
