Hi peeps! Happy 4th of July! Hope you’re enjoying your day off. Vera here today and I am sharing a fun summer card.
I figure today probably many of you take advantage of enjoying your time off and going to the beach. With that in mind, I created this card using a couple sets from the latest release.
To make this card, I started with stamping the Wave stamp and the die-cut it with the matching Wave dies. I could just stamped it directly on the card base, but I want to create some depth to it and adhere the wave with pop-dots.
Before I adhere the wave, I first stamped the tree trunks and the hammock from Palm Tree set directly on the wave. Just imagine a beach scene, you’re laying on a hammock with wave crashing behind you. 🙂
I also adhere the Palm Tree with pop-dots. Then I stamped the birds and the sentiment. However I still feel like something is missing, so I decided to add some sun rays. I didn’t use any stencil. I simply use the edge of scrap paper and just moved it at different angle and added some ink using sponge dauber.
And, since it’s a water related card, of course I have to add my favorite embellishment the Dew Drops. I like the mix size the most since I prefer to use different sizes dew drops on one card. It just seems to be more interesting when you use different sizes.
Well peeps, that’s all from me today. I hope you have a safe and fun 4th of July. It’s so hot on my neck of the wood that I am spending it inside, staying at home and just appreciating the AC and chillin’ with the doggies. Enjoy your day!
Vera, I love this!

This summer card is so cute! I like it. The white and blue wave, green tree, golden sunshine. It’s really beautiful. And the color is so fresh to bring us escape from the hot weather.
