Hi Peeps! How’s it going? Vera here today to starts off the week at The Ton blog.
During the release week, I made a card where I stamped on patterned paper and I received quite a few comments on it where people mentioned what a neat idea that is. So, I thought for my card today, I want to show another stamping on patterned paper technique.
When stamping on patterned paper, it’s important to keep in mind the pattern on the patterned paper itself. You don’t want to use patterned paper that has busy pattern here your stamp image would be lost among the pattern. And, you also want to consider the theme of the card.
For my card, I am using the beautiful Peony Terrace Cling Background stamp. And, since I plan on making sympathy card, I chose words pattern paper, so the flowers would stand out against the word pattern and it also convey the feeling of calmness.
I simply heat embossed the image with white embossing powder and then adding some colors with Copic markers to accentuate the flowers more.
Once that done, I adhere the panel to the card base and added sentiment from Basic Labels set. Finished by adding a couple Seaglass Blue Dew Drops. I am really loving the way this dew drop looks on this card. The color simply match the mood of the card.
Well peeps, that’s all from me today. I hope you enjoy today’s card and thank you so much for stopping by here. May your week starts off wonderfully.
Absolutely breathtaking! I really love how this looks stamped on the patterned paper! It gives it lots of texture and depth! TFS!
