Hello everyone and happy Friday! It’s Lisa here and today I have a pretty little card to show you featuring some of the items from The Ton’s Spring Release. One of my favorite flower stamp sets from this release is the Wishful Wildflowers. I have seen so many gorgeous cards using set, from our designers and from some of you too. Wishful Wildflowers are so versatile and I think what I love most about them is they look beautiful in any color. For my card today I chose to make them blue because they remind me of little forget-me-nots.
I started out by stamping one of the Modern Labels onto my 4.25″x 5.5″ background using white cardstock. The MISTI stamp positioner made this process so easy. I stamped the label multiple times with The Ton’s Noir Dye ink for a beautiful, crisp image. After the stamping was finished I cut out the center image using the Modern Labels Coordinating dies and then glued this card front to an A2 sized card base. I love the way this die leaves a beautiful stitching around the edge of the negative space. It was a nice added touch when I popped up the diecut label with dimensional tape.
With the base of the card done it was time to stamp and color the Wishful Wildflowers. I chose the two large singular flowers in the set and repeatedly stamped them on white cardstock using The Ton’s Caviar Hybrid ink. This ink is a must have for images that you’re planning to color with Copic markers. For the blue flowers I used: #B00/#B02/#BG05/#B24. Leaves: #G82/#G85 The centers were colored with #Y17. After coloring I used the Wishful Wildflowers Coordinating dies to cut out each flower then placed them onto the front of the card. The flowers around the edges are glued flat to the surface of the card but the center flower is popped up with some dimensional tape. Then I carefully trimmed off all of the flowers around the edges.
I added a sentiment from the Pragmatic Wreaths stamp set by first stamping with The Ton’s Hampton White Pigment ink onto black cardstock, then embossing with Ranger White embossing powder. I topped this card off with some pretty sequins from the Summer Skies Couture Mix.
Well, that’s my card for today. If you’re looking for a fun challenge this weekend, The Ton’s monthly challenge for May is up and running and we’re playing Tic-Tac-Toe! Stop on over and find out how you can enter your card and play along for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to The Ton’s shop!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope my blue forget-me-nots brightened up your day. Have a great weekend!
