Floral Shaker Cards

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a great week so far 🙂 ! It’s TaeEun here today with two floral shaker cards. Using beautiful floral stamps and coordinating dies you can assemble a shaker card easier than you might think!!!

I’ve picked Wildflower Banner and Large Peony3 for my cards.

Let’s take a look at my first card.

To start off I’ve made the alcohol ink background panel on Yupo paper. I sprayed rubbing alcohol on Yupo and added alcohol inks on it by dripping and spread them by blowing. I used pink, yellow and green shades, as I planed to color the florals in the same color scheme. Set the alcohol ink panel aside, I stamped Wildflower Banner on a Bristol smooth paper in embossing ink and heat embossed it in gold. I colored it using Zig brush markers and clear glitter pen. Did you know that we have a Boutique section in our shop where you can buy the Zig brush markers and glitter pens as well? The sentiment is from Wildflower Banner stamp set as well. I stamped it in Noir and clear heat embossed it for some shine.  I die cut the image with Coordinating die and once again from a white fun foam. The frame was cut using two of the Double Stitched Rectangle dies (Large) from Adhesive foil paper gold and from a white fun foam as well.

Now it’s time to assemble the shaker card! I adhered a piece of clear acetate under the frame and the Wildflower Banner image using Liquid glue and then the die cut fun foam underneath. I put Belle’s Dress and Guava Sparkle Couture Mix into the wells and mounted the background panel. To finish off I added some dots on the flower centers using Pico embellisher.

On the second card I used coordinating dies to make a shaker window.

First I die cut a A2 sized watercolor cardstock with the Coordinating dies for the large peony and a leave from Large Peony3 as shown in the picture. I left the right edge uncut so that I can build the well for the shaker elements. I stamped and gold heat embossed the image on the positive die cuts and colored them with Zig brush markers. I mounted the peony and the leave on my card base.  I then colored the negative die cut panel with some Distress inks and splattered gold watercolor.

To assemble the shaker card I added the clear acetate sheet and foam adhesives under the front panel, put Medallion Gold sequins mix, Princess Glam, Violet Sprinkle and I Dream in Peach Couture Mix in the shaker window and mounted the card base with the colored images on the front part of the shaker card. I die cut the sentiment from Adhesive foil paper gold using hugs word die and added some branch cut with Petal Cut Peonies Standalone dies which I colored with gold watercolor. To finish off I added a strip of pink glitter tape on the right edge.
