Bright and Happy Sunflowers

Hello Everyone! It’s Jenny here taking over the blog today! Sunflowers are so bright and happy, and I just love our new beautiful sunflower themed stamp sets. I created 2 sunflower cards using many of our products, including our new Sunflower Garden Cling stamp, Modern Labels Stamp set, and the coordinating dies.

Here is the first card!

I created a bright & cheerful card, mainly focusing on the flowers and let the leaves fade to the background. I stamped the Sunflower Garden Cling stamp on the Bristol Smooth cardstock with Mini MISTI stamping tool in our Beach Blondie Dye Ink and colored the flowers with Zig markers. I blended the colors out using the Aqua Water brushes. I waited for the panel to dry and cut it down slightly smaller than the A2 size.

By the way, you can now do the one stop shopping at our Boutique! We carry fabulous craft supplies such as the Zig markers, MISTI, the water brushes and many more! All the products from our shop and Boutique are all linked up. Just click and shop! 🙂

Then, on a A2 sized card base, I adhered the Glossy Gold Adhesive Glitter paper. Next, I die cut “hello” on the watercolored panel using our Brushed Hello Coordinating Die and adhered the entire panel onto the card base. I also stamped the sentiment (from our Fresh Cut Sunflower stamp set) in Versamark, heat embossed in gold, and adhered it to the card using foam tape. I finished the card by adding some sequins from our new Belle’s Dress Couture Mix.

Moving on to the 2nd card!

I created this card using our new Modern Labels, Sunflower Cluster Mini stamp set, and the coordinating dies. I love the Sunflower Cluster Mini products so much and they will be available at the shop in May!

I started the card by stamping the Sunflower Cluster Mini stamp twice on the Bristol Smooth cardstock in our Noir Dye ink. I first colored the flowers with Zig Markers. When it was dry, I blended Vanilla Frosted Cupcake Dye and Beach Blondie Dye ink on the leaves, using the ink blending tool. I also added some gold dots with the gel pen and Polychromos color pencils here and there to create more depth.

Then I stamped one of the label image and the sentiment from our Modern Label stamp set in Versamark and heat embossed in gold. I die cut the label image using the coordinating die. I also die cut the frame using the largest layer of the Large Double Stitched Dies and the 2nd largest die from the Small Double Stitched Dies. I created the gold glitter background panel with the Glossy Gold Adhesive Glitter paper and the 2nd largest die from the Small Double Stitched Dies. Then I assembled all the elements on the A2 sized black card base and finished the card by adding the Gold thread and some sequins (Belle’s Dress Couture Mix & Deep Sage sequins).

That’s all from me today and I hope you enjoyed today’s project!

Also, there’s still time to submit your project for our monthly challenge!
