You Make Me Happy

Hi peeps. Vera here. What attracted me to The Ton on the first place is their flower sets. I think The Ton have some of the most beautiful flower sets that’s available out there. And, one of my favorite is this Sending Peonies set.

And, let me just say that when Effie told us that she’s coming out with coordinating dies for the set, I squealed with delight. I’ve been wanting to use this set to create a card where the flowers actually hanging out of the card, just like my card today.

I make the card base skinnier than usual card size, so it can still fit on standard size envelope. Stamped and heat embossed the peonies with glittery gold embossing powder and then I colored it watercolor marker. Once that done, I die cut the image and adhere it to the card base.

I think by making the flower hanging out of the card base create a more fun visual interest. then, I thought it was a bit too plain, so I added a butterfly from Beautiful Butterflies 1 (cut with its coordinating dies). The sentiment is from Got You set.

I still feel something missing once I did all of this, so to tie all the design together, I decided to add a little bit more details with random stenciling. Then, I am happy with the result. Sometime it’s a balance of deciding when to add and when to stop.

Here’s a close up look of the flowers. Those glitters really shiny, right?!

I hope you love this card as much as I love making it. That’s all from me today. Thank you for stopping by here and don’t forget to play along with our current March challenge. You can find all the info and enter the challenge HERE.
