Poppy Bouquet

Hello, everyone! It’s Jenny here and I’m taking over the blog today with this beautiful bouquet of layer stamped poppies using our Fresh Cut Poppy stamp set and the new Coordinating Die. I know there are some of you out there intimidated by layer stamping, but this set is very easy to layer. I used both Misti stamping tool and just ordinary acrylic blocks to stamp the images, and I absolutely had no issues.

Let’s take a look at the card!

Here’s how I created this card!

  • Then I stamped the Stripe Addict Cling Background stamp on the smooth white cardstock in our Lofty Mint and Bright Emerald Dye ink to create the background panel. I used rock-and-roll technique to darken the bottom right corner just a bit. I cut this panel down to 4×5.5″ panel.
  • I die cut the base using the coordinating die and colored in our Bright Emerald and Hot Tourmaline dye ink using the sponge daubers. I added some interest by applying shimmer pen all over the vase.
  • On a white A2 card base, I adhered the Silver Glitter tape, and the background panel on top. Then I arranged all the dye cut images on the card, some using 3M foam tape to create bit of dimension.
  • I stamped the sentiment from the Fresh Cut Poppies Coordinating Outlines stamp set on the black cardstock in Versamark and heat embossed in white. I trimmed it down and adhered it on the card with the foam tape.
  • I finished the card off by adding some Glass Slippers sequins and Clear Dew Drops. I also added some white dots and highlights with white gel pen.
