Hello, and Welcome! It’s LauraJane today with a watercolored card featuring the beautiful Morning Glory Border Cling Background. I found this one to be a relaxing piece to color because of the many blooms and leaves, two of my favorite things to color:)
I started by stamping the Morning Glory Border Cling Background onto an A2 sized piece of #140 watercolor paper. I chose to ink up the stamp with Soft Amethyst Dye because I wanted the blooms to be purple. As you can see in the photo I trimmed the panel with the largest of the Double Stitched Rectangle dies.
I drew around all the inner images with a purple Ziggy and added a bit of water to create a light wash of color to the center. This also defined where the blooms were and where the green for the leaves needed to be.
By coloring the middle and bringing the color outwards with a waterbrush allowed the blooms to be almost white.
Once the border of blooms and leaves was finished and dried completely, I reached for the Alphas Lower and Upper to create my own sentiment…stamped in Grape Crush.
To finish the card I added a few Seaglass Blue Dew Drops – 7mm and Clear Dew Drops – Mixed
Thanks for stopping by today.

Oh LauraJane… If I were you, my entire life would be spent entering coloring contests and I would keep all my trophies (they give trophies for coloring contests, right?!) on a shelf in my living room and challenge everyone to coloring duels (again, that’s a thing, right?!). What I’m trying to say is that your talent knows no compare and that morning glory stamp should be feel lucky that you graced it with your magic.
