Let’s Celebrate You

Hi peeps!! How are you all doing? Vera here today. Hope those of you that lives up North is  staying warm. As a tropical girl, I can’t imagine bracing the kind of cold from winter storm. Although, I think the snowy landscapes are very pretty, I like to enjoy them from afar.

Here on my neck of the wood, we’re enjoying a spring kind of weather. And, that means, time for flowers! Hah! Like I need excuse to make floral card, right?

For today, I play with Thoughtful Poppies. I kind of waited last minute to make this card as I was waiting for this set coordinating dies to arrive. It arrived yesterday. Cutting it close, didn’t I? 😉

But…. it’s so worth it!! I’ve been wanting to do partial die-cut technique with this set and I just love the way it turned out.

I first stamped and heat embossed the poppies image with white embossing powder. Then, I did the partial diecut by marking on the panel where I want it to stop cutting and line up those marks to the edge of the cutting plate. Once that done, I cut the straight line with my trimmer. Color the image with Spectrum Noir watercolor markers and the shimmer markers.

The sentiment is from Lucky Tulip. Also, for extra glitz, I added a couple strip of silver glitter paper. Here’s a close up of the poppies.

I am so excited over all the dies that been added to the store. Have you checked them out? I think dies make such a big difference in extending a stamp value. A much as I love fussy cutting, dies help me in cutting down the time to finish my project.

Anyway, that’s all from me today. And, don’t forget to play along with our March challenge. This month is “Lucky” and you have till the end of the month to play along. So, join us and may your day be an awesome one. Cheers….

Vera
