The Ton and So Suzy Stamps Mirror Stamp Collaboration!

Hello, friends! Emily here with you today for another installment of The Ton and So Suzy Stamps (creator of the awesome Mirror Image Stamp) and My Sweet Petunia (creator of the fantastically amazing MISTI tool) Mirror Stamping Event!! We’ve been bringing you inspiration all month long with different ways to use your MISTI in conjunction with the Mirror Image Stamp from So Suzy Stamps and the beautiful stamps from The Ton to create unique and beautiful projects.

If you are just joining the party, you can find a video tutorial on how to use the Mirror Stamp here. Super easy and super fun. Gives you even more ways to use your stamps, and lots more bang for your buck! Let’s get started on my project today.

To start, I stamped the bicycle image from Beautiful Day using black waterproof ink on some watercolor paper. I then used the Mirror Image Stamp from SSS to create a perfect mirror image of the bicycle so that I could have his and hers bikes! (See what I mean? So much bang for your buck!) I added the pretty floral spray from Beautiful Day, then masked off the other basket and added the pup from City Girls: Retail Therapy.

After I had finished stamping my mirrored bicycles, it was time to add the custom sentiment. I started with the “LOVE” from Vogue Alpha Upper stamped in the same waterproof black ink, then added the “is a beautiful ride” using the Scripty Alpha Lower. I watercolored the whole panel with my Zig markers and a wet paintbrush. My “LOVE” was slightly off center, and it was so irritatingly noticeable that I decided to add a little fuchsia heart from Beautiful Day next to it. I stamped three different sizes of hearts, fussy cut them out, then popped them up off of the card front. Et voila!

WOW Emily, your cad is just sweet. You did a wonderful job on it and your water colouring (with the Zigs) is amazing! As for your “love” being off center, you balanced it beautiful by adding the heart. A fantastic job!

I don’t know, there is just something about two bicycles facing each other that is just so pleasant to look at – it just screams “friendship”. I love the way you did this card.
