Hello everyone and welcome back for another card and video! For today’s project, I created a glittery floral card using our Fresh Cut Peonies, Poppies and Brushed Happy stamps.
First I started by stamping all the blossoms and foliage. For the large peony blossoms, I used my Mini Misti to help me position the second and third layers. I freehanded the rest of the stamping. For the large peony blossoms, I used our Peony Collection Inks and an additional darker hue (Lipstick Red) to get that raspberry hue. For the my greens, I used our Soft Garden, Bright Fern and Basil Mojito inks.
Once the stamping was complete, I die cut the peonies using the coordinating dies. For my poppy blossom and leaves, I fussy cut those elements. However, dies for our Fresh Cut Poppies will be available in two weeks!
Next I rose gold heat embossed the large sentiment from our Brushed Happy set and then used the coordinating die to die cut the happy. Next I created a stitched border panel using our Double Stitched Rectangles (Large and Small). I used the largest die in the Large set and the fourth largest die in the Small set. I applied some blue glitter adhesive paper to a top folding card base. I positioned the glitter paper so that it would show through the window of my navy border panel. Next I popped up the border panel onto my card base using foam tape.
Then I arranged and popped up my flowers and leaves at the corners of my card. I adhered the Happy sentiment diagonally across my card adhering the areas behind the H and Y onto the florals. Then I embossed the engagement sentiment in the same Rose Gold embossing powder and fussy cut it. Then I popped it up right under the Brushed Happy sentiment. Lastly I added some clear Dew Drops in 7 and 5mm around my sentiment.
That’s all for my card today! I hope you enjoyed today’s post and video.
