SO SUZY & THE TON MIRROR STAMPING COLLABORATION

Hello friends. How’s it going? Eunji here today and I’m sharing a project as part of our February event: Mirror Image Event with So Suzy Stamps and My Sweet Petunia.

This is the seventh post on The Ton blog about mirror stamping, so I guess you know already how the Mirror Image Stamp works. But if it is the first time for you, you can watch a video tutorial here.

Here is the card I made for this event. I used our Hello Hummingbird, Holiday Cones (Coord. Outlines) and Sparklers Alpha Set. I started by stamping the bird image stamp from our Hello Hummingbird  (the one the right with my MISTI) onto my white watercolor paper like usual. Then I removed the white watercolor paper and placed the Mirror Image Stamp in its place. Without moving the bird stamp, I inked the bird up and stamped it onto the Mirror Image Stamp. Next, I simply laid the white watercolor paper onto the Mirror Image Stamp. Next I stamped a bunch of berry images from our  Holiday Cones (Coord. Outlines) around the bird image. Then I colored with Ken Oliver color burst blue, turquoise, ultramarine watercolor powders. Everything else was colored with watercolor paint. Next I stamped the tiny sparkler images from our Sparklers Alpha with some Smoky Quartz ink. Lastly I stamped the sentiment with our Noir ink and added some Cabernet Sequins-Mixed sequins.

    I am in awe of the colors and the technique used for this look. I would love to see how you applied the Color Burst. This is my favorite card so far in the Mirror Image event.

    I really like the Color Burst on this card. It really adds to it. The hummingbirds are the perfect stamp to use with the mirror image stamp.

    This is a very beautiful card and the technique is just stunning. Will you make a video of how you did it sometime? I can’t quite understand how you kept the images so “contained” and perfectly matched – you did a wonderful job.
