Mirror Image Event with So Suzy Stamps

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far! It’s TaeEun here today to share a card with you I made as a part of our February event: Mirror Image Event with So Suzy Stamps and My Sweet Petunia.

This is the fourth post on The Ton blog about mirror stamping, so I guess you know already how the Mirror Image Stamp works. But If it is the first time for you, you can watch a video tutorial here.

Let’s take a look at my card!

I chose the lady from our Born Classy stamp set for my mirror image. I stamped the original image on the right side of a gray panel in Peach Blossom and stamped the mirror image on the left side slightly higher. I then colored both with Prismacolor colored pencils and added gray shade around the ladies using Copic markers. For a dreamy look I made bokeh background by stamping solid circles from Bokeh Burst Round using Hampton white pigment ink. I set the panel aside to dry, then stamped poppies and leaves from Fresh Cut Poppies Outlines on some vellum in embossing ink and heat embossed them in white. I colored the poppies and leaves using Tombow markers on the back of the vellum and fussy cut them all. After the white pigment ink on the gray panel was dry I mounted it on the black card base with foam adhesive and arranged the vellum poppies on it as shown in picture. I added black glitter tape to the top and bottom of the colored panel.

I borrowed the wavy sentiment from City Girls Special day stamp set. I gold heat embossed the sentiment and added the tiny JUST FOR YOU from the same set in Grand Fuchsia. To finish off the card I added sequins from Glass Slippers and Purple Ballgown Couture Mix.

This could be a birthday card or congratulations card for a girl. That’s it from me today! I hope you enjoyed my card and give the mirror image a try!

    Very pretty coloring – love the way you used the girl stamp to get two different ones on the card. Makes me wonder what the special event was to create such a beautiful card.
