Guest Designer: Taheerah Atchia

Hi everyone, Happy Friday! I’m Taheerah and I’m thrilled to be joining you this month as The Ton’s Guest Designer! I’ve been a fan from Day 1 and some of you may have seen me hanging around here before lol. If not then welcome! I hope you’ll love what you see!

So, with Valentine’s Day right around the corner (seriously, how did that happen? I feel like we just got past Christmas!) I thought that a love-themed card would be perfect to kick off proceedings:

I wanted to go for quite an artsy look for this card, so I freehand watercoloured a loose heart onto my square card front.

I wanted the heart to dominate, and usually such a large sentiment would steal all the attention. So I stamped the ‘hugs’ (from the Brushed Hugs stamp set) quite low down. In keeping with the artsy look, I swiped away some of the ink from my stamp before stamping it, so that it had more of a dry brushed appearance.

There are several companion sentiments in the Brushed Hugs set, many of which can be combined to build longer phrases. I picked out a couple here and stamped them either side of my large word and that pretty much wrapped things up! I love this quick and artsy look – perfect for mass producing!
