Hello everyone! Hope your week is starting off well! It’s TaeEun here today with two cards made using Poppy Garden Cling Background stamp from our new Anniversary Release.
Like all other stamps of the Garden Cling Background series you can use the whole stamp to make an elegant background or expose only some area of the stamp to create a focal point as I showed you on Day 3 of our Anniversary Release week. Today’s cards are showing the former case.
For my first card I decided to go with black, red and gold. I stamped Poppy Garden Cling Background in embossing ink on a black cardstock and heat embossed it in gold. I cut out the biggest poppy and a solid leave from the black panel before heat embossing. Here I used my cutting machine to cut them out. But you can fussy cut it, maybe only the poppy, after heat embossing, as its outline is relatively simple to cut. I stamped the Poppy Garden Cling Background again in yellow on a white cardstock, colored the big poppy with Copic markers and then gold heat embossed the image. I aligned the colored panel and the black front panel and mounted it on my black card base, the colored panel flat and the black panel using some foam adhesive. The sentiment is from The Basic Labels. I gold heat embossed it on a piece of black cardstock and adhered it on the card. To finish off I added clear Wink of Stella on the butterflies.
On my second card I colored the silver heat embossed image of the Poppy Garden Cling Background using alcohol inks.
This time I went with silver and red. For a clearly heat embossed image I stamped Poppy Garden Cling Background in yellow first and applied alcohol ink on it. Used alcohol inks are Cranberry, Poppyfield, Watermelon, Flamingo for poppies, Sunshine Yellow and Valencia for butterflies and Limeade and Botanical for leaves. For the background I used Aqua. After the panel was dry, I stamped Poppy Garden Cling Background again in embossing ink with the help of Misti tool and heat embossed it in silver. In order to make some space for my sentiment I cut the bottom part of the colored panel, added a thin strip of silver Adhesive Glitter Paper on the edge and mounted it on the red card base using foam adhesive. The silver heat embossed sentiment is from Thoughtful Poppies stamp set.
That’s it from me for today. Hope you enjoyed my cards!

OUTstanding, Fabulous, stunningly beautiful cards! LOve the gorgeous alcohol ink colors!
I can never get this much glam from my silver or gold embossing powders … do you think it is the paper? or the powders?

These are, of course, both stunning, Tae Eun! However, the technique of cutting away the flower and adding a coloured image to the negative space on your Black/Gold/Pink card blew me away!
