Mistletoe Kisses

Hi peeps. Vera here today for hump day take over on The Ton blog. Only 4 more days till Christmas! Hah…. I haven’t even get my presents wrapped. And…. yep, still need to clean my house, too, to get it ready for Christmas dinner.

Anyhoo…. house cleaning can wait, right? When there’s card making to be done, we need to get the priority right. Hah! 😉 Just kidding. I am just procrastinating at starting the cleaning chore.

Instead, I played and made this fun card.

I stamped and heat embossed the Poinsettia Garden Background on a piece of watercolor cardstock, then colored it with ZIG Kuretake watercolor brush. Love their brilliant colors. Once that done, I trimmed the panel and put it aside.

Next, I stamped Minor Stripes Background directly on the card base using versamark. I wanted to add pattern without overwhelming the whole design. So, subtle pattern is the way to go. Then, I adhere the poinsettia panel on the card base and stamped  the mistletoe sentiment from Mistletoe Kisses vertically on the side of the panel. I used misty here, so I can re-stamped the sentiment a couple times to get the white ink to really show up.

And, I am really into playing with liquid enamel, right now. So, I added some liquid enamel to make my card for extra texture and also to make it more festive.

Actually, this is the 1st year in a while where I am actually short of Christmas cards. So, yep, this one being used right away.

I hope you enjoy today’s inspiration and I would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas. May your Christmas be merry & joyful. Hugs to you all!

Vera
