Hi everyone! I’m back with a video and post for this subtle blended poinsettia holiday card.
I started off by stamping the poinsettias in our Dusty Blue dye inks. The centers of the poinsettias were stamped using our Smoky Quartz, Soft Garden and Bright Fern Dye Inks. Then I stamped 8 leaves in our Crystal Pewter and Smoky Quartz dye inks. I die cut everything with their coordinating dies and then assembled the poinsettias by adhering the leaves behind the florals.
Next I blended some Lofty Mint ink onto two corners of a separate A2 sized card panel using a stencil brush. Then I stamped the sentiment (From Ours mini set) with our Noir Dye Ink. Next I white heat embossed the different berries and sprigs from our Coordinating Outline sets for our Fresh Cut Poinsettias and Holiday Cones in the same minty corners that I blended earlier. Next I flicked some black splatters onto the panel – for the splatters, I smooshed our Noir Dye ink onto an acrylic block and added a bit of water and flicked the ink onto the panel with an aqua brush.
Next I created a glittery border with our Glossy Fine Transparent adhesive paper and Double Stitched Rectangular dies (the two largest dies in the set). I popped up the border and poinsettias onto the blended panel with some foam tape. Then I added some Waltz White sequins to embellish the card. I added some extra sequins to cover up some of the bigger black specks!
