Now onto my project for Day 1 of our hop!
When I saw Suzy’s Blowing Butterflies stamp, I knew I needed to use it on our Haute Wedding Dress gal. The dress is fairly billowy and provides a large enough canvas to insert many different designs.
I started off by creating my background panel. I stamped our Vogue Skyline in our Noir Dye Ink on the center of the panel. Then I blended some Cali Blue and Azurite Dye inks at the top and bottom edges of the panel. I heat embossed the
Next, I went to work on that gorgeous dress! I stamped our Haute Wedding Dress on a separate card panel in our Noir Dye Ink. Then I gold heat embossed the bodice of the dress with. Next I created a negative mask with our dress. I used the negative portion to mask the outer edges of the dress so that I could gold glitter heat emboss those beautiful butterflies within the dress.
After I embossed the butterflies, I carefully peeled off the negative mask and then spooned the gold glitter embossing powder over the butterfly stamped image. Then I melted all the powder with my heat gun. Next I colored in the dress and butterflies with zig markers.
- Hair: No 62 Dark Brown
- Skin: No 71 Flesh and No 28 Pale Pink
- Dress: No 91 Light Gray and No 36 Light Blue
- Butterflies: No 31 Cobalt Blue and No 30 Blue
After I finished coloring with my zig markers, I brushed on some clear Wink of Stella over the shaded areas of the dress to add some more sparkle. Then I die cut our gal with the coordinating die.
Next I gold glitter heat embossed the fabulous Confidence is Sexy sentiment onto my blended card panel. Before I adhered the blended panel onto a side folding A2 card base, I added some stitching to the edges with our Double Stitched Rectangles die set. Then I popped up my Haute Wedding Dress gal onto the panel and added some Dew Drops in both sizes to add some finishing touches to the card.
That’s it for my card for the day! Your next stop is the fabulous Ms. Suzy. Make sure to leave a comment for a chance to win one of the giveaways mentioned above!
