Good morning, lovely peeps. Vera here today to start off the week here.
So, I’ve been playing quit a bit with Fresh Cut Poinsettias and usually I go with the non-traditional color, but today I chose a color that much closer to the traditional poinsettia color. It’s not quite red, but more in pinky tone. 🙂
I first stamped the poinsettia and then masked it before stamping the leaves and the pine cones, which I color with Copic. For the poinsettia I used Rose Quartz, Hollywood Stars and Cosmopolitan Pink. I cut an opening for the candle, by cutting around the top part of the poinsettia. Then I stamped the candle, fussy cut it and insert it on the slit opening.
Come to think of it, I could just leave the masking on the poinsettia and stamped the candle, but I like adding depth and texture to my card. Also, since I love shimmer, I brushed the poinsettia with shimmer marker. Here’s a closer look to show the pretty shimmer.
Oh, the pretty strip of glitter is the pink glitter tape from the Sampler Pack. I sure do love this glitter tape, since it allowed me to add glitter without the mess.
That’s all from me today peeps. May your week starts off wonderfully. Cheers….
