Hello everyone and welcome back to another cardmaking video! Today, I’m featuring our Loose Peonies and coordinating dies which we just released.
I started off by creating the cluster of peonies on my base watercolor panel. I had to mask the peonies and leaves each time I embossed them (in our Rose Gold embossing powder). Then I embossed the open peony and a couple of leaves on a separate piece of watercolor paper.
Then I watercolored my peonies using the 72 color palette Gansai Tambi watercolors. I used two to three shades on each peony – a combination of purples and reds and orange, reds and yellows. For the leaves, I blended two shades of greens for each leaf.
After I let my watercolor panels dry, I die cut the lone peony and leaves and popped them up in the middle of my half circle of peonies. I let the leaves and peony hang off the panel a bit for some interest. Then I put down some strips of silver glossy fine glitter adhesive paper onto a black top folding A2 cardbase and trimmed my watercolor panel down to size and adhered it onto the base. Then I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment from our Basic Labels set in our Noir Dye ink. After I fussy cut the label, I popped it up onto the panel and finished the card by adhering some Glossy Black sequins around my bouquet.
Thanks for stopping by everyone!
