Video: My Everything Cherry Blossoms

Hello everyone and welcome back to our weekly card and video feature!  Today, I created a multistamped custom cherry blossom scene with our Wild Cherry Blossoms and Vogue Skies sets.

First I started off by stamping some blooms in our Valentine Red Couture Color Dye Ink.  Then I stamped additional blossoms in Coral Cavern Dye and Peach Blossom Dye Inks.  Next I created masks for my blossoms and proceeded to stamp the leaves (Everglade Moss Dye Ink), branches (Found Topaz Dye Ink) and stamens (Dark Roast Dye Ink).  I overlapped certain elements and masked other elements to create depth and a more natural look to the scene.  Even though I was going for a more natural look, the color palette that I chose was not natural at all but I had fun stamping the blossoms in these nontraditional colors.

Next I stamped the skyline from our Vogue Skies in our Warm Hazelnut Dye Ink.  Then I heat embossed the sentiment from our Wild Cherry Blossoms in our Rose Gold embossing powder.  Then I adhered strips of Rose Gold Burnished Foil Tape to the top and bottom edges of my A2 top folding card base.  To finish the card, I adhered some Smoked Citrine sequins (10,8,6,5mm) around my sentiment.

Hope you all enjoyed today’s card and video! See you next week for another video 🙂

Hi, Effie — I’m new to The Ton ♥ Thank you for explaining what it means on the About page! What lovely cherry blossom images, including the stamens. I’ve been to Japan during the spring and this totally reminds me of our trip. They are breathtaking and I love Rose Gold!!!
