Hello Love

Hello! Good morning, fabulous followers! I am sharing three cards with you today. I wanted to try a different card size. I can’t believe I’ve been crafting for almost two years and almost 99% of my cards have been size A2. I have got to start trying more new things! 🙂 Well, I still colored with my favorite watercolors just because… they are so fun!

Okay so I started with watercolor sheets trimmed down to 4″ x 8″. I cut cardstock down to 8.25″ x 8.25″ and scored one side for my card bases. I started by stamping Happiest of Peonies on all 3 watercolor sheets using Noir Couture Color.

For the first card, I colored with pink and green watercolors. I added some light beige watercolors around the floral clusters to give it a vintage look and when it was dry, I added splatters all over. I stamped “Hello Love” from Bokeh Burst – Heart. I stamped “love” in Orchid Crush Couture Color first and then offset with Noir Couture Color. I stamped ‘hello’ all over with a very light ink.

For the second card, I colored with various watercolors for a rainbow effect. Once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Timeless Icons.

For the last card, I masked off the four sides with masking tape and watercolored the center. I stamped the sentiment from TImeless Icons onto black cardstock with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I trimmed it down to create a label and attached it over the center with foam tape.

Ruby I love doing different sized cards and it’s amazing how almost no one else director on any of the blogs I follow! I order my envelopes in A2, A6, A7, 5″ square and even a 9″ tall and skinny one! I usually choose my size before I begin because they’re so different. I’ve done dogs hanging on balloons for the 9″ tall – it was fun. Please do this more often! Thank you and I loved all 3 of these cards!!! 😊❤️

Stunning Ruby, sighhhh! They all have such different feels to them. My favorite is the top one, I love that color combo and the splatters. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

These are wonderful! I struggle with watercolor so I am really in awe of The Ton design team. You all have perfected the many different ways to use watercolor. Just beautiful!

So refreshing, I personally love cards to be different sizes. I find it challenging when the card size is different. My favorite is the last of your cards but I think they are all lovely. Hope to see you do more.

Wonderful Cards Ruby! the subtle pink behind the LOVE is the magic touch for that one. Beautiful color choices on the rest. The size looks like it would fit into a legal letter envelope? No matter, I like them:))
