Heart Floral

Hi everyone! How’s it going? Vera here today as we close the month of May.

For today’s card, I am playing with one of my all time favorite set from The Ton, Mini Wild Floral. I’ve been having this idea in my head for a while to create a heart shape flower cluster.

It’s been raining a lot at my  neck of the wood, so pardon the bad lighting. I kept retaking picture of this card and not much  luck in getting good lighting.

Here’s the close up of the card, to show it better.

I first die-cut a heart shape on a piece of paper and lay the open area (negative part of the cut) on the card  panel to use it as a guide. I then stamp the various flowers and leaves. Once that done, I switch and used the positive part of the heart as a mask and add some soft pink around the heart.

To finish the card, I adhere a strip of Glitter paper directly on the card before I add the card panel. Stamp sentiment from Basic Labels and popped it with pop dots. Sprinkle some Peach Mouse Sequins. Gotta love sequins. 🙂

Looking at this flower cluster, I realized that I used this color combo a lot. I guess, I tend to reach colors that I am comfortable with. How about you? Is there certain colors that you reach regularly?

Well, that’s all from me today. Hope you have a blessed Memorial Day and thank you to those who serve and protect our country and our freedom.
