But First, Doughnuts

donut pyramidHello, everyone! I’m back with a card and a video on this super fun doughnut pyramid card.  I wanted to take a break from watercoloring florals and just stamp!

First, I drew a line across the bottom of card which served as my base line of doughnuts.  From there, I built my doughnut pyramid using our fabulous Doughnut Bar set.  It’s an adorable set with 24 doughnut stamps.  There are additional “topping” stamps that you can use to customize your treats.  I stamped my doughnuts using most of our Couture Color Inks: Lofty Mint, Hollywood Star Pink, Cali Blue, Orchid Crush, Soft Amethyst, Peach Blossom, Warm Hazelnut, Rose Quartz, Amber Citrine and Beach Blondie.

After I stamped all the wonderful little doughnuts, I stamped some additional toppings.  Next, I used the same toppings and stamped a fun background.

Next I stamped the sentiment directly onto my card panel.  I messed it up a bit so I ended up stamping the sentiment again on some separate cardstock, cut it out and popped up onto my panel.  However, before I popped up the sentiment, I die cut the panel using our Double Stitched Rectangle dies to get the stitched border.  Then I trimmed the panel about 1/8 of inch on both sides.

Next I took two strips of Pink Holographic adhesive paper and put them down at the edges of my side folding A2 sized cardbase.  Lastly, I adhered the stamped panel over my cardbase and finished the card!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! I’ll see you next time!
