Hello, everyone! I’m back today with a video for this card that I created using our Petal Cut Peony dies! I used our new Glossy Fine Gold Glitter paper and some black foam sheets to create a contrasting border around my card panel.
This card was created mostly with die cuts and less stamping. However, the results are AMAZING (in my opinion :D) !
I started off by die cutting all of my floral elements. I die cut two peonies and about seven foliage dies with our new Glossy Fine Glitter Gold adhesive paper. This might be one of my favorite adhesive papers because the warm gold is just gorgeous and super blingy. No mess and no need for additional adhesive! After I die cut from the gold glitter paper, I die cut the remaining peonies on a black foam sheet. This will add some nice dimension and contrast to the card.
After all the die cutting was finished, I stamped the birthday sentiment (from our Happiest of Peonies) in the center of a black A2 sized card panel in our Hampton White Couture Color Pigment Ink. This sentiment is becoming one of my go to birthday sentiments because it’s not just a regular “happy birthday” sentiment and the format and size of it is just perfect for an A2 sized card.
Next I put down all of my floral elements onto the panel creating a gold and black border around the sentiment. The glitter paper already has adhesive on it so all I had to do was take the protective paper backing off. For the foam peonies, I did have to adhere them down with some craft adhesive.
Next, I adhered some Glossy Black sequins all over the front of the panel. Then I adhered the finished panel onto a side folding A2 card base to finish off the card.
That’s all for today! I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video. I hope you’ll check out some of the new glitter and foil adhesive papers that came into the shop this week. They’re just fabulous. I’ll be back with more videos showcasing these new products. Thank you for stopping by and see you soon!
