Peony & Hummingbird Love

Hi peeps! Vera here today. I have a couple fun projects to share with you. By now, you probably already have some of our new releases on your hand. Well, I’m hoping that today’s projects will inspire you to get those sets out and play with them.

First up is my card featuring the Loose Peonies and Brushed Thanks Sentiment set.

I want to create a soft look for this card. I started by heat embossing the flowers and the leaves with white embossing powder and then watercolor the whole scene using Spectrum Noir watercolor marker.

Once that done, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder. Finished with sprinkles of Soft Mint Gelato Couture Mix sequin.

Next, I played with one of my favorite set, the Hello Hummingbird, that in my opinion is simply one of the prettiest bird set.

I first stamped the Bokeh Burst  Round on the panel, then stamped the hummingbird. For the outline part, I use the 2nd layer out of the 4 layers. That’s what I  love about this set, you can get as detail or less detail as you want to create the hummingbird to your liking.

I created the sentiment using Vogue Alpha Lower set stamped with Noir dye inkpad combined with a heart from Bokeh Burst Heart. I always use the Noir ink pad when I want to get a deep, solid crisp black stamped image/sentiment. And, yep, you guessed it, just like before I finished with sprinkles of Soft Mint Gelato Couture Mix sequin. I honestly can’t remember the last card I made without sequins. I am pretty obsessed with them. Hah.

Well peeps, that’s all from me today. I hope you enjoy today’s projects and may your week starts off wonderfully. Cheers!

Vera
