We’re a Great Pair!

Hi, friends! Emily here with you today with a card that I have been wanting to make for what feels like forever. I absolutely love the Shoe Wardrobe series. It has shoes that I can only drool over, because at 5’10”, heels are not my friend (nor does my 5’11” husband like being that much shorter than me….) This card is so simple, but so cute! (In my opinion, anyway)

I started out by using the Haute Stripes background stamp with the Noir dye ink on a sheet of white card stock. I cut a 1.5″ strip, then die cut a scalloped border along the edge to emulate a shop awning. After die cutting a “window” with one of the Stitched Rectangle dies, I used it as a guide to determine where I wanted my shelves to be placed. I stamped the shelves, then some of the fabulous shoes from Shoe Wardrobe and Shoe Wardrobe Outline (using Cosmopolitan Pink hybrid ink and the outlines in Noir dye ink), leaving plenty of room for my sentiment, from Shoe Wardrobe 2nd Edition Outline. I embossed the shaker top panel with a brick embossing folder from my stash to continue the “storefront” idea. I filled my shaker with an abundance of gilding, including Princess Pink, Night, Don’t Wait on Me Fuchsia, and Glass Slippers Sequins, Black Mini Stars confetti, and Winter Berries seed beads. The Ton shoe shaker detail WM

I hope you enjoyed my little Couture Shoe Shop shaker! Have a great week!!

I can really commiserate with you in regards to height. I’m 5’9″ and my husband is an inch shorter. Needless to say I don’t wear heels much either. I love looking at them though. Gorgeous card. Thank you for sharing your card as inspiration.
