Saying it in Rainbow

Hello and happy Thursday! Keeway here bringing in some rainbow goodness for your week! Nothing brightens a greeting better than a colorful background and today I am using one of my favorite techniques: heat emboss resist.

I first embossed a piece of A2 watercolor card with our Tribal Chic Borders. I love this set because it’s fun to make backgrounds with them and also since each line is an individual stamp, I can also create borders, dividers, whatever I want! But for today, I will be using them as my background because I really wanted to create a rainbow card!

After heat embossing, I painted my rainbow colors in watercolor. But I wanted to do something a little more creative this time around. And I chopped up my background and rearranged it! It was like creating my own puzzle and putting it back together.

This added another fun twist into the background because now you have a fun, whimsical feel to it! I finished off the card with a simple die cut “hello” using our new Adhesive Glitter Paper in Silver. These sheets make things so much easier. I simply cut off a small piece, adhered it onto some craft foam, and die cut right on top of it.

And lastly, I added a little silver thread to pair with my die cut sentiment before I fully glued it down. Now I have the perfect card to send!

Hope today’s card gave you some creative ideas and inspiration to create some fun rainbow backgrounds and new layouts to play with!
