Wild Morning Glories

Hello! Today I have two watercolor cards using Wild Morning Glories. This such a fun set because there are solid and outline versions of the flower. Since I’m on a watercolor kick lately, I couldn’t resist with these stamps.

I started off with two size A2 watercolor panels and stamped a few of the outline flowers, stems and leaves with VersaMark. I heat set with clear embossing powder. I colored with various Winsor & Newton watercolor paints (any watercolor medium will do).

The first card is bright and the second one has softer tones. For one of the cards, I stamped the sentiment from Timeless Icons directly onto the panel and for the other card, I stamped the sentiment from Caffeine Crush Sentiment onto black cardstock and heat set with white embossing powder.

This is one of my favorite things to do when crafting because black is such a nice contrast to a colorful or white panel. I finished it off with some splatters and sequins after matting down the panels to a 110# white card base. On the left card, I used Glass Slippers and on the right card, I used Night and Shotgun Gray.

Hope you all have a wonderful week. Thank you so much for visiting!

Ruby, they’re both so pretty. They definitely make my think of spring, hurry up spring! I love the water coloring over the embossing powder, beautiful look. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
