Watercolored Floral Backgrounds

Good morning!  Jess here with a set of cards featuring the gorgeous floral background stamps (Rose Garden, Peony Garden, and Morning Glory Garden) from The Ton!

I stamped each of the background stamps onto watercolor paper and heat-embossed them with gold tinsel embossing glitter.  I recommend using a MISTI or another stamp positioning tool when stamping on watercolor paper to make sure you get a good impression.  Next I colored the flowers with zig clean color real brush markers and a waterbrush.  Once it was dry I trimmed down the 6×6 background panel to create two cards.  One card features a full background panel and the other uses the scraps to create a trim.  I embellished three of the cards with gold metallic thread and a sentiment stamped on a stitched rectangle.  For the other two cards I used a trim of colored cardstock and a die-cut word.

Here’s a better look at each card:

I hope you’ll check out the video for a more detailed look at creating the morning glory cards and thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a fabulous weekend!
