Good morning! It’s Keeway here today. I was so excited when I first saw this gorgeous girl in the wedding dress and knew it would be just beautiful in watercolor. I have always admired fashion designer sketches and with the stamp I was able to be paint just like them!
I first stamped the the girl in the dress from Haute Wedding Dress in Noir Dye Ink, and let it dry before I started watercoloring. There is 4 layers of colors here, blue, purple, black, and gold. With each other, I painted streaks following the lines of the dress in a quick, swift motion. After each color, I would heat dry the paint so that when I layered on the next color, there would still be some distinct lines and less blending.
I then painted a soft greyish background to help the girl stand out against the background. When everything is dried, I was able to stamp my sentiment from Timeless Icons set. I cut Coco Chanel’s name out so that I can stamp along both sides of the dress.
The gold paint shimmers so beautifully in the light! Hope you are left inspired with today’s card. Thanks so stopping by and hope you have a wonderful week!
