Video: Petal Cut Glitter Peony Die Cuts

Hello everyone, Effie here! If you received an email notification for an earlier post and found no post, I apologize for that! I accidentally scheduled the post (without finishing it – my bad).  We’re all human right?  However, I apologize for the spamming but I promise you that this post is complete with a video on how to make these ah-mazing glittery cards!

This card involved almost no stamping because it’s mostly made up of a fun die cut background that I created using our Petal Cut Peony Dies and our new mixed pack of Glitter Adhesive Paper.

This card took a bit longer than usual because of all the die cutting but the glitter paper cut pretty easily.  I started off by die cutting three peonies on silver glitter paper.  Then I die cut several leaves (I like using the outline leaves and the big leafy die from this set).  When I popped out the insides of the outline leaf die cuts, I saved all those “scraps” because I ended up using them on the card to create a more finished background.  Before popping out the insides, I colored the leaves with a green copic marker.  Our mixed pack does not contain a green sheet (yet) so I created my own.  Next I die cut two peonies with the purple glitter adhesive paper that comes in the pack.

Once all the die cuts were finished, I adhered them onto my card.  I chose to make the silver peonies the focus while cropping out the purple florals.

Next I heat embossed the sentiment (which is from our It’s Cray Cray set) with white embossing powder on black cardstock and adhered it onto my floral panel with some dimensional foam tape.

Thank you all for stopping by (again) and I hope you enjoyed today’s post and video!
