Hello everyone and welcome to our first ever Anniversary Blog Hop!  Can you believe that an entire year has passed?  We certainly can’t.  We’re turning one on the 19th and in celebration of this day, we have a full lineup of extremely talented designers and tons of inspiration for you today as you hop around.

For today, I created these cards using our new Honey Bears set (which was designed by Mayline).  I used a repeated stamping and masking technique.

The entire panel was stamped with the same bear stamp in Light Onyx dye ink. However, I did stamp one black bear in Noir dye ink.  This black bear also has a different expression and some rosy cheeks on it which I stamped with our Ballet Slippers dye ink.  I chose to emphasize one bear in the crowd as the theme for my card. The sentiment I chose, which can be found in our new Timeless Icons set, quotes Coco Chanel, “In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.”  So I wanted to create one bear that was different from the rest.

This card was a bit involved because of the amount of masking that needed to be done to get this effect.  I actually had to re-do the card two times before I was able to complete the final project.  Remember to mask off the appropriate areas as you stamp or else you’ll end up with a non-masked image and you’ll have to re-do your card!

Third time was the charm for me!  After the masking was finished, I created the sentiment strips using regular pink card stock and dark pink glitter paper.  I popped it up with some foam tape and then finished the card by adhering some Medallion Gold sequins in the 8, 6, 5, and 4mm sizes.
