Hello everyone! To keep up with one of my resolutions, here is a quick video and blog post today of a card I made using our Shoe Wardrobe 2d. Ed. Outline stamp set.
First I stamped the Valentino shoe stamp repeatedly across the card panel. To make sure I stamped them straight, I started off by stamping the first shoe in the center of the panel. Then I took a pencil and drew a straight line right under it so I could stamp the rest of the shoes in straight line (or as straight as I could get it). Then I stamped the same shoes repeatedly to create an amazing background of couture shoes. Since I knew I would be coloring these shoes with copic markers, I used our new Caviar Hybrid Ink which is copic friendly and fabulous.
I used seven different copic markers to color in each of the shoes. I used the same seven in each line but colored each randomly. In the midst of coloring, my purple marker exploded (insert sad face) and created a blog along one of the shoes. I decided to cover it up with a well placed sentiment (an 8mm or 10mm sequin would have sufficed). I took the “You’re Fancy” sentiment from the same set and heat embossed it using gold glitter embossing powder on some tan cardstock. I fussy cut the sentiment and popped it up in the middle of the card panel and over the offending blob.
Then I trimmed the card panel about a 1/4 of an inch on both sides. I took an A2 side folding card base and adhered some floral gold foil washi tape on the sides. Then I adhered the card panel onto the base and that finished up the card!
