Hello everyone and Happy New Year!  I hope you’re enjoying the tail end of the holidays!

I wanted to start off the new with some resolutions (that I HOPE to keep).  One of them was to post regular Youtube Videos on the cards I created.  These videos will be posted every weekend on either Saturday or Sunday.  I hope you’ll join me each week!!

For today’s  video, I made a card using our Mini Wild Florals set and our new Couture Color Inks.

I started off by stamping the sentiment from our Shoe Wardrobe 2d. Ed. set in our Rose Gold Bangle Pigment Ink.  I love this sentiment because it’s a bit sassy!  Then I started stamping the different ferns and greenery from the Mini Wild Florals with our Lofty Mint Dye Ink which is our  lightest ink in the Minted Collection.  I stamped the greenery in five different points on the panel with the greenery radiating from the 5 different centers.  I stamped between 4-5 different ferns in the Lofty Mint.

Then I stamped between 2-3 ferns in our Bright Emerald Dye Ink (our mid-tone mint ink) and an additional 2-3 ferns in our Hot Tourmaline Dye Ink (our darkest mint ink).  For the darkest of our greens, I chose the smallest ferns in the set so I didn’t overpower the card.  By keeping the darkest of the ferns to a minimum, I kept the focus on the entire card as a whole.  This card was a bit more involved because of the different “layers” of greenery that I stamped.  I love the depth of the card achieved by the different shades of mint.

Then I heat embossed the five outline florals in the set with some gold glitter embossing powder.  I colored in the florals with three different zig markers blending each layer.  After I finished the coloring, I die cut each floral and popped them up along the five radial points on the stamped panel.

Lastly, I took the spray of dots stamp in the Mini Wild Florals set and stamped it randomly among the greenery with our Rose Gold ink to bring the entire card together.  I hoped you enjoyed the video and post for today!
