Good morning, Jess here!  I was going through my stamps earlier this week and realized that I’ve never blogged a card with the gorgeous Rose Garden Cling background stamp…so I figured it was time to change that! 😉

This was actually not the original idea I had for this card…but I’m really excited about how it turned out.  Originally I was just intending to use the background stamp as the background for the card; however, when I embossed it I realized that some of the silver embossing glitter was a little splotchy on one of the solid flowers and I didn’t think it was salvageable.  But that was a lot of pretty sparkly embossing powder and I didn’t want to waste all of it so I thought about how I could make it work.  And that’s how this card evolved!

I fussy cut around a few of the flowers and then colored them with a zig clean color real brush marker.  I also went over the edge of the flowers so there wouldn’t be a white exposed edge.  I set that aside to dry naturally and worked on the rest of the card.  First I stamped the Tiny Hello background stamp in versamark on grey cardstock and heat-embossed it with silver powder.  Then I stamped the hello sentiment from Large Peony 1 onto a stitched fishtail banner and embossed it with the same silver powder.  I adhered the banner to the card and then mounted the floral panel with foam mounting tape for a little dimension.  Finally I added Metallic Silver, Princess Pink, and Don’t Wait on Me Sparkling Clear sequins in various sizes to finish the card!  Did you know that ALL of the sequins from The Ton are now available in a variety of sizes!?

Thanks so much for visiting and make sure to check back next week for our December release!  You won’t want to miss it! 😉
