The last day of November

Hello everyone ūüėÄ Mayline here. Today is the last day of November. It’s amazing how fast time flies!!! Especially when I am having fun or feeling happy, time files twice fast. For me this year, I have spent some great time with you guys and was happy to share my cards with you ūüėÄ That is why I felt that time has flown¬†three times as fast this year than last year.

Today I am sharing two cards and tags. For today’s card I used Daniel Smith PrimaTek watercolor paint which are made from natural minerals and semi-precious gemstones. WOW! They’re¬†made from natural minerals!! It sounds so interesting. I am not an expert watercolor artist but I wanted to try to use them for my card project.

Let’s take a look at the first card and tag.

Here is my first card for today. I stamped the images from the Holiday Flourishes in Versamark ink on some watercolor paper and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder.  Then I colored them using Jadeite Genuine from Daniel Smith PrimaTek watercolor paint. After that I stamped  the flower images from the Simple Florals stamp set and heat embossed those in gold. Then I colored them with red watercolor paint from Holbein and after that I fussy cut the flowers. Then I taped them down on the stamped and heat embossed images. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Lyrices stamp set. Towards the top of this card I painted a bold straight line using Jadeite Genuine  from Daniel Smith PrimaTek watercolor paint to finish it off.

Here is a closeup of the tag. I used the Holiday Flourishes stamp set , Simple Florals stamp set and Holiday Lyrices stamp set. The way to make this tag is similar to the first card.

Here is my second card and a tag for today.

The way to make this card and tag is very easy. First, I painted the top of the watercolor paper using Mayan Blue Genuine from Daniel Smith PrimaTek watercolor paint and then I stamped some snowflake images from the Crystal Flurries stamp set  and heat embossed them in white. I also stamped and heat embossed the snowflake with some clear embossing powder at the bottom of the card but you can barely see them in the photos. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Lyrices stamp set.

Here is a closeup of the tag. The way to make this tag is similar to the second card.

As you can see in the photo of ¬†first and second tag , after the paint dried,¬†it left a dark stain on the paper.¬† I am not sure if the stain appeared¬†on the painted paper ¬†because of my lack of watercolor skills or if that is just the paint’s¬†characteristics.

Anyway it was very interesting to make my projects today but I enjoyed both projects! Originally I had a planned to make a video tutorial with this project but unfortunately I did not have time to film it because of my busy life.

I hope you enjoy today’s my creation ūüėÄ Thank you for stopping by!
