Holiday Shaker Tags

Good morning!  Jess here with a holiday card and a few holiday shaker tags featuring Crystal Flurries, Holiday Lyrics, and gilding from The Ton!

To create the card I stamped the snowflakes from Crystal Flurries in three teal inks.  I used Hero Arts Soft Pool, Hero Arts Tide Pool, and Hero Arts Ocean dye inks.  Then I stamped the sentiment from Holiday Lyrics with versamark and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder.  Finally I added light green gems to the center of some of the snowflakes!

For the shaker tags I die-cut the tag die from a stamp storage pocket.  When you die-cut the acetate with a stitched line it seals the acetate together.  I wouldn’t recommend relying on it to hold if it was going to get moved or disturbed a lot; but it held beads, sequins, and die-cuts easily without separating.  I cut off the top of the tag to give myself a way to fill the shaker.  I stamped a few extra snowflakes and cut them with my Scan N Cut.  After they were cut out I stamped the same snowflakes on the opposite side so the tag can be viewed from either direction.  Then I added the snowflakes, beads, and sequins to the shaker and sealed it with my Fuse tool.

Then I die-cut the same tag shape from teal cardstock and stamped the sentiment from Holiday Lyrics and heat-embossed them with silver embossing powder.  I also stamped a few snowflakes with dye ink.  One of my tags doesn’t really fit the teal color scheme but I wanted to use Elsa’s Dress couture mix so I decided to go for it!  Creating a second tag of cardstock gives me a space to write a message on the gift tag!

For one tag I used vellum instead of cardstock and it created a really soft, pretty look!

To finish the tags I punched a hole in them and threaded them with ribbon!  Now they’re all ready to go when I start wrapping presents!

Thanks so much for visiting!!  Have a fabulous week!
