So Proud Of You

Good morning, Jess here!  Today’s card was inspired by the recent trend of adult coloring books.  I wanted to use masking to create a vivid black and white background that I could then color however I chose!  I used the Wild Peonies to create my very own coloring page! 🙂

To create this card I started off by stamping the Wild Peonies onto masking paper and fussy cutting masks.  Then I prepped a piece of watercolor paper with my embossing powder tool and then stamped several peony flowers in versafine before heat-embossing them with clear embossing powder.  Next I placed masks over the stamped flowers and stamped the next layer of peony flowers and leaves with versafine.  I also heat-embossed that layer with clear powder.  To create the background I simply repeated the process making sure to prep the panel with my powder tool each time.  Once I was happy with the design I stamped a few leaves from Mini Wild Florals in dye ink and then watercolored the peonies with zig clean color real brush markers.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from It’s Cray Cray onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with superfine white embossing powder.  I adhered the strip to the panel with foam mounting tape and then mounted the panel to a white card base!

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you enjoyed my card!
