Golden Roses

Good morning!  Jess here with a shaker card featuring the gorgeous Rose Garden background stamp!  This was one stamp I didn’t have the chance to play with during release week so I pried myself away from the foxes and used it, along with some sparkly gilding and sequins, to create a shaker card!

To start off, I inked the Rose Garden background stamp with versamark and used my MISTI to stamp it onto vellum.  I heat-embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder for a sparkly gold finish!  The gold powder is a real showstopper and I wanted to let that stand out instead of coloring the vellum as I normally would.  So I decided to go with a romantic red and gold theme and let the sequins and gilding highlight the gold embossing!

I die-cut a stitched frame of red cardstock for my shaker and adhered acetate to the backside of the frame.  I also attached the vellum panel to a piece of red cardstock for a hint of color behind the vellum.  I filled the shaker with Medallion Gold, Call Me Maybe, and Engine Red sequins and Bright Gold seed beads.  Then I used a double layer of foam mounting tape to adhere back panel to the shaker so that the contents could move freely.  Finally I added a die-cut sentiment in red cardstock!

Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous Monday!
