DAILY GIVEAWAY: Our Daily Giveaway from our Fall 2015 Release week is still going on. Check out our posts from Days 1-4 for details.
For my first set of cards, I created four cards with our new Hey Foxy set.
I started off by heat embossing the foxes in gold powder. Then I colored them in with inktense blocks. I used extremely watered down coats of ink to create a light watercolor effect. I found it very easy to color with my inktense blocks because once the layers dried, the layer became permanent and I didn’t have to worry about lifting color in areas where I reapplied the inktense. I found it easier to use than regular watercolors.
I like the light watercolor effect! I kept these cards clean and simple. What do you think?
Next I created a simple set of single layer Christmas cards with our Crystal Flurries and Holiday Lyrics sets. I heat embossed directly onto the colored card panels with metallic gold and silver embossing powders. I adhered glitter washi tape on both sides of the top folding, horizontal card bases. After I adhered the card panels onto the bases, I embellished the cards with silver rhinestones and enamel dots. These cards were really easy to make and would be perfect to give away as a gift set.
Your next stop is Ruby’s blog! Before you head on over there, leave a comment here for a chance to win three stamps sets of choice from our new release (to qualify for the giveaway, you must leave a comment on each stop of the blog hop)!
I hope you enjoyed my cards! Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop!
