Good morning, Jess here! I hope you’ve recovered from our release reveal week! 😉 Preorders are available now so make sure to place your order so you can be one of the first to get our new stamp sets!!
As I mentioned last week I think the Pyrotechnics set is my absolute favorite of the new release! I’ve always loved watching fireworks and I (ha) had my heart set on having real fireworks (not sparklers) at my wedding until I learned how expensive they were…*sigh* But NOW, I can make my own with endless combinations of glitter, embossing powders, and layouts! 😉
So, here’s my card:
Man, I LOVE these stamps!! So, I started off by breaking out the Color Burst Powders! I taped a panel of watercolor paper onto a solid surface and thoroughly saturated the paper. Then I squirted a little of the red, blue, and purple powders onto the paper and let them blend naturally. I used my heat tool to push the color around a little more and then dried the paper completely. Once the watercolors were dry I spritzed a little watered-down iridescent medium onto the panel for extra shimmer. I knew I was going to be doing a lot of embossing so I set the panel aside to give it even more drying time and worked on the rest of the card.
I inked up the Lawn Fawn critters with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then used a baby wipe to remove the ink from their faces. I wanted the images to stamp as if you were looking at the back of the animals similar to this adorable card by Yainea! I colored them with copics and added a little clear wink of stella glitter to the white fur. I fussy cut the animals and went over the edges with my black copic marker. Next I die-cut grass from several different colors and textures of cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from I Got You in versamark and then heat-embossed it with WOW Diamond White glitter embossing powder.
Then it was FIREWORK time! Ha, can you sense my enthusiasm?! I started off by stamping the largest firework and the smaller matching firework in versamark and heat-embossed it with WOW Diamond White glitter embossing powder. I heat-embossed half of the smaller fireworks with Enchanted Gold glitter embossing powder and the other half with WOW Holographic embossing powder.
I assembled the card by arranging and adhering two layers of grass onto the card before adding the critters. Then I adhered the final grass layer with the sentiment on top. This card is so ridiculously sparkly and shimmery…I LOVE it!
