So here’s my coffee loving card:
Effie created that awesome sentiment for me and I thought it was perfect with the new Heart Diamonds stamp set from The Ton! The Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is summer themed and the hot pink and gold colors remind me of warm summer beaches and strawberry daiquiris! 😉
But, since it’s currently raining outside and generally kinda gloomy I’ll go with coffee instead!
I started off by printing the sentiment with a laser printer and foiling it with gold foil and my laminator. Then I trimmed the cardstock down to an A2 panel and stamped the faceted diamonds in various sizes all over the panel with pink and red inks. Next I stamped the diamonds onto watercolor paper with versamark and heat-embossed them with Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder. I wet the paper thoroughly and watercolored them with Peerless watercolor paints. Once they were dry I added a little clear wink of stella glitter to some of the hearts and then fussy cut them and went over the edges with a pink marker.
To create the shaker I die-cut a frame from gold glitter paper, adhered acetate to the frame, and filled the shaker with the diamonds and lots of sequins! The sequins I used are Medallion Gold, My Tutu, Strawberry Margarita, and Sugar Daddy Sparkling Clear! I adhered the diamond panel to a card base and then used foam tape to mount the card to the shaker.
To finish the card I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the mug and added a little shading with Antique Linen distress ink. I used Bazzill Hot Fudge cardstock for the coffee and coated it with glossy accents. I adhered one gold-embossed pink diamond to the front of the mug with foam mounting tape and then adhered the mug to the shaker frame.
I hope you enjoyed my diamond-filled take on a coffee card! For your first chance to win, leave a comment here and then head over to the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop to find out how to play along and link up your card! Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous coffee-filled week!
